Description

The PET IEEE-488 Port Adapter converts from the Commodore PET IEEE-488 edge connector to a 24-pin Centronics female connector, allowing a standard GPIB cable to be used to connect peripherals.

Can also be used with Commodore VIC-20s and Commodore 64s to connect IEEE-488 devices, in combined with an adapter cartridge such as the VIC-1112 and C64 IEEE-488.

In addition to converting from the edge connector to the standard GPIB Centronics connector, the Port Adapter also enables the 24 IEEE-488/GPIB pins to be broken out to a separate header, to aid with diagnostics.  This header comes unpopulated, but can be easily added using a standard 2.54mm (0.1″) pitch header.
